Arsenal have reportedly put seven young stars up for sale, including a number of academy graduates, as they look to bring in new talent for next season.

Since Mikel Arteta was appointed as Unai Emery’s successor in December 2019, he has made significant changes at Arsenal.

The Spaniard has transformed the club, bringing in 29 players since his time in charge at the Emirates and also letting a number of big names leave.

And this summer, Arteta and Arsenal are expected to be ready to let even more players leave the club.

The Mirror report that they are ready to listen to offers for at least seven players this summer, with three stars expected to leave the north London side.

The outlet claim that “offers are being considered for Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Emil Smith Rowe, Kieran Tierney, Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Reyes Nelson” as the Spanish manager looks to “improve the depth of his squad” to be able to. Pep Guardiola’s rivalry with Manchester City continues.

They add that right-back Cedric Soares, midfielder Mohamed Elnin and goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo are all but out of the Gunners this summer as their contracts expire at the end of June.

Elsewhere, some of Arsenal’s academy stars could leave this summer, with the north London side expected to be interested in Nketiah, Smith Rowe and Nelson.

All three have attracted a lot of interest from within the Premier League, while Nelson has been watched by clubs from abroad in the past. He will play on loan in Hoffenheim of the Bundesliga and Feyenoord of the Eredivisie.

Many fans may be shocked to find Smith Rowe on the list for a potential move away from Arsenal this summer, as he has long been a fan favourite.

However, the 23-year-old has struggled to fulfill his potential since breaking into the first team as an academy player.

Aston Villa could be strong contenders for the young shot-stopper and have long been admirers of the midfielder.

Arsenal rejected two bids from Villa Park residents back in 2021.

Another long-serving Arsenal player who could be on the block this summer is goalkeeper Ramsdale.

The elusive goalkeeper has long attracted interest from other Premier League clubs, including Newcastle and Chelsea.

Thomas Partey’s future at the club is also expected to be assessed by Gunners chiefs as he has just one year left on his contract.

The Ghanaian midfielder was hampered by injuries last year but has proven his class on the pitch after returning to full fitness in the last few weeks.

The departure of some of Arsenal’s academy players would greatly help the north London derby in their bid to stay within the guidelines of the Premier League’s PSR rules, as the sale of Nketiah, Smith-Rowe and Nelson represents a 100 per cent profit.

Due to Thomas Partey’s injury, the Gunners may need a midfielder.

Which would be a huge help for the Premier League title challengers to keep their financial accounts balanced ahead of the transfer meltdown.

With Arsenal ready to back Arteta with another significant budget this summer transfer window.
